How to create an auction
Step 1:
Sign Up to create an account on cycles.auction. You will be required to use your email as account login. A link
will then be sent to your email account for confirmation after which you will be allowed to login to the website "cycles.auction".
Step 2:
Once you login you will be able to access different options from your account dashboard. First add information
for your cycle/motorcycle/atv item or accessory and upload its images. Please note that size of an image should not
be greater than 1 MB. After entering information and images for an auction item press the add button to save data.
Step 3:
Once information about item has been added it will appear in the list of items for the user. User has the option to
edit information for the item that has been added or delete that item. (Please note that item information cannot be updated
once an auction starts).
Users have the option to create user groups to which they can accept members. These user groups can represent any social club,
educational institute or organization. Members to the user groups can tag their auctions to the user group. Their auctions will
then be searchable under the name of that user group. For e.g if there is a social club called "cyclists club" then the administrator
of that club can create a user group with the name "cyclists club" and accept members to that user group. Any member of that group
can then select that usergroup when adding auction data. That auction will then be listed under the name of that usergroup which can be
searched directly from the home page thus further promoting that auction and also making it very convenient and fast for users to find
grouped content that they would be interested in searching.
Step 4:
To start an auction user will then have to select add auction option in the dashboard. A form will be presented in
which the user will have to select the item type from the filter dropdownlist for auction so that the list of items for auction of the item type is presented.
After selecting the item from the list which the user wants to auction the rest of the information regarding auction has
to be filled up by the user. (Please note that certain items of the auction will not be editable once auction starts so select them carefully) Then on pressing the
add button the auction will be added in auctions list of the user as an inactive auction. An inactive auction is only present in user's auctions list and is not present in website search results.
Step 5
If a user has entered incorrect information for items that are not editable in add auction form or for any other reason they have the option to terminate the inactive auction at this point since
it wont be possible to terminate an auction once it is active.
The user has to make the inactive auction as an active auction by pressing the activate button from auctions list. A page with information about the auction and activate button
will be displayed. On pressing the activate button the browser will redirect to the payments page. The payments page will display the required payment amount or (free)promotions on offer. After making the payment successfully
the auction will become active and start. This activated auction will be available in the auction search results on the home page search filter options of the website.
Step 6
Users can view the bids they have received for an auction by pressing the view/accept highest bids button in the auction list. A page will be displayed giving auction information and the bids
that have been received for that auction. The user will also be notified via email for a bid if an auction reserve is met. On pressing the accept highest bid button auction will be
successful and completed and a message will be delivered to the highest bidder for being successful in winning the auction.
Every bid submitted is valid till ten days after auction end date during which time the bidders can make their transaction payment and seller can send the shipment.
Users will have to decide themselves the mode of physical transaction. If users are for instance in the same city they can make an agreement to collect the item themselves on cash payment. For transactions where
users choose online mode we recommend them to use services such as Escrow(
www.escrow.com) for eliminating fraud.
If a user does not accept the highest bid the auction will end in its stipulated time frame mentioned on auction end date.
All auction data will be available to users in auction history after an auction is completed.
How to bid in an auction
Step 1:
From the home page use the search filters to refine your search for finding an item that is being auctioned. After selecting
an item from the search list a user will reach the auction page for the item.
Step 2:
Users can view all auctions and auction item details free of cost.
Step 3:
Users can view auction contact details by pressing the button stating view under contact details. On pressing the button users
will be redirected to the payments page displaying charges for showing that information or promotionary offers. Users will be then be
redirected back to the auction details page where that information will be displayed.
Step 4:

bid payment charges page where charges for submitting a bid or free promotionary offers will be displayed. After that users will be redirected back
to auction details page where submit bid field will be available. On entering the bid amount and pressing submit button the bid will be submitted
to the user. Every bid submitted is valid for ten days after auction end date.(Please note that users have the option to contact the seller and view the auction item before making a bid. Users will also have to
